!! As a Cuban guy from Miami you know that snow is something that you never see. Until I moved down here I had never seen snow especially falling snow. I always dreamed of seeing snow. I had heard stories from my fiance she's a native New Yorker . The stories of her playing in the snow as a kid or going to work in the snow as an adult. How she loved sitting by the window at night and watching the snow come down. How she loved how the sky turned white and that there was such a silence that was so calming outside her window. It just made me more excited when I knew I was moving to New York City and so it happened, my first snowstorm. It was magical especially where I live. Picture this beautiful colonial houses that look like something from an old english christmas card roofs full of snow. The trees and everything outside covered in snow. I felt like I was literally in a snow globe. It was magical it was a dream come true. What did I do but begged my fiance to get dressed and let's just go outside and take the most Epic pictures. At first she was hesitant because she was already over the snow. She had moved 2 months earlier and had already experienced a few snowstorm since coming back to NYC. But eventually she obliged and she got all dolled up I got my gear together and we went out just around the neighborhood and we took the most Amazing, most picturesque photos. I was able to feel how cold the snow was, how it crunches beneath your feet when you walk on it. The sky was a beautiful white, the bare trees where completely covered in snow. I was even able to taste the snow when the snowflake touched my tongue.Since I was a kid back in Cuba I always dreamed of seeing and touching the snow thanks to the movie Home Alone 2 which was filmed in New York City at the Plaza Hotel right by Central Park. That dream came true. Thank God! If it was up to me it would snow every single day so I can keep doing photo shoots in the snow.
To some people snow is so annoying and just a bother. But to this Miami boy snow is beautiful! Bring on the winter wonderland.
We had an Amazing time! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!
